The climate in this area has mild differences between highs and lows, and there is adequate rainfall year-round.
The original 2000 census listed Troutdale with a population of 1,230, a very sharp increase from 192 in 1990.
22.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
