Troy, Tennessee

Troy is a town in Obion County, Tennessee, United States.

[2] The Paducah & Memphis Railroad extended its line from Union City to Trimble in May 1874.

[10] Troy remained the county seat until 1890, when it was moved to Union City following a contentious legal dispute.

[2] According to the United States Census Bureau, Troy has a total area of 1.4 square miles (3.6 km2), all land.

As of the 2020 United States Census, there were 1,423 people, 684 households, and 464 families residing in the town.

28.0% of all households were made up of individuals, and 13.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
