He was Australia's first Karate Olympian,[2] competing in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.

[3] At the 2010 World combat games held in Beijing, China, he won the bronze medal in the men’s kumite 60 kg event.

At the 2013 World Games held in Cali, Colombia, he won the bronze medal in the men's kumite 67 kg event.

[4] In 2017, he competed in the men's 67 kg event at the 2017 World Games held in Wrocław, Poland.
