The venue was renamed Spotify O-East in December 2021, after a deal with the music-streaming service.
[1] It had previously been named Tsutaya O-East, under the terms of an eight-year deal with Culture Convenience Club.
It was closed in 2002 to be completely renovated and it was re-opened in December 2003 as the Shibuya O-East complex.
The O-East, the main venue, with capacity for 1,300 people, is located between the second and fourth floor of the complex, which includes the main stage, a small bar, and a balcony.
