The first men's football team played in the Bremen League from 2008 to 2023 and took part in the 1974/75 DFB Pokal.

The first women's football team played in the Regionalliga Nord in the 2018/19 season and took part in the DFB Pokal in 2018/19 and 2019/20.

After years of relegation battles and mediocrity, the team became runners-up in the 1974/75 season behind OT Bremen.

In the same season, the club took part in the DFB Cup and lost in the first round to FC 08 Homburg 0:3.

For financial reasons, the Bremeners waived their home right and played the game in the Saarland.
