The racial makeup of the township was 92.49% White, 0.48% African American, 0.22% Native American, 1.04% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 1.43% from other races, and 4.32% from two or more races.
There were 2,297 households, out of which 29.50% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 46.02% were married couples living together, 8.18% had a female householder with no spouse present, and 42.53% were non-families.
37.70% of all households were made up of individuals, and 16.90% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
