Tyler Mulder

He set Iowa High School Athletic Association state meet records in the 800 meter run[2] and as part of the 1600-meter medley relay.

Mulder matriculated to the University of Northern Iowa in the fall of 2005 where he was coached by Chris Bucknam and Doug Case.

Outdoors, he lowered his personal best in the 800m run to 1:50.93 at the Mark Messersmith Invitational, narrowly missing qualifying for NCAA Regional competition.

Mulder captured NCAA Championship in the 800 meter run indoors, clocking 1:49.2 at the Tyson Events Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Competed at the 2008 United States Olympic Track and Field Trials in Eugene, Oregon and failed to make finals.
