USS Hamilton (FFG-66) will be the fifth Constellation-class guided-missile frigate of the United States Navy.
She will be the fourth ship of the United States Navy to be named for Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, the first US Secretary of the Treasury, who was instrumental in the formation of both the United States Coast Guard and the United States Navy.
She will be built by Marinette Marine, a subsidiary of Fincantieri, with an expected completion in 2030.
Her name was announced on 23 May 2024 by Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro during the New York City Fleet Week when he announced the order of both Hamilton and sister-ship USS Galvez.
