Udaynarayanpur

Udaynarayanpur is a community development block that forms an administrative division in Uluberia subdivision of Howrah district in the Indian state of West Bengal.

The Rupnarayan flows on the west and south of the district and the Damodar intersects it.

[3] Gram panchayats of Udaynayanpur block/panchayat samiti are: Bhabanipur Bidhichandrapur, Harali Udaynarayanpur, Khila, Rampur-Dihibhursut Asanda, Kurchi Shibpur, Debipur, Harishpur, Garbhabanipur-Sonatala, Kanupat Mansuka, Pancharul, Singti[4] Rural population is 49.63% of the total population of Howrah district as per 2001 census.

As per 2011 Census of India Udaynarayanpur CD Block had a total population of 190,186, all of which were rural.

Udaynarayanpur block registered a population growth of 9.09 per cent during the 1991-2001 decade.

[6] As per 2011 census the total number of literates in Udaynarayanpur CD Block was 138,618 (81.05% of the population over 6 years) out of which 76,012 (55%) were males and 62,206 (45%) were females.

In 2011 census Hindus numbered 172,598 and formed 90.75% of the population in Udaynarayanpur CD Block.

Udaynarayanpur CD Block had 177 institutions with 19,464 student for special and non-formal education.
