udhcpc is a very small DHCP client program geared towards embedded systems.

[3] udhcpc was originally developed in 1999 by Matthew Ramsay and Christ Trew[4] under the GNU GPLv2 licence.
[5] It was added to BusyBox on 21 August 2002[6] and first released as a part of such in 0.60.4[7] on 18 September 2002.
