Ulrich B. Schmid (born 31 May 1962 in Stuttgart) is a German Protestant theologian and university teacher.
With a habilitation scholarship of the German Research Foundation (DFG) he continued his academic career in the years 1996 to 1998.
At the Kirchliche Hochschule Bethel he was habilitated in 2002 and in 2005 he published by Verlag Herder a work Unum ex quattuor.
[4] He is a member (as of 2019) in the following scientific associations: Kerkhistorisch Gezelschap, Society of Biblical Literature, Studiorum Novi Testamenti Societas, Committee of the International Greek New Testament Project.
In 1999 he received the Hendrik Casimir-Karl Ziegler Research Award of the North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Sciences, Humanities and the Arts.
