Vågøy Church

It is located on the small island of Vågøya at the entrance to the Frænfjorden.

It is one of the two churches for the Vågøy og Myrbostad parish which is part of the Molde domprosti (arch-deanery) in the Diocese of Møre.

The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1904 using plans drawn up by the architect Ole Havnæs.

Each church parish was a constituency that elected people called "electors" who later met together in each county to elect the representatives for the assembly that was to meet in Eidsvoll later that year.

After the fire, Ole Havnæs was hired to design a replacement church.
