Vannadil Puthiyaveettil "V. P." Krishnakumar (born 8 September 1958[1]) is a sound engineer, editor and recordist known mostly for his works in Malayalam films, documentaries and TV series.
He later worked with famed directors like G. Aravindan, Padmarajan, Adoor Gopalakrishnan, T. V. Chandran, Santosh Sivan and K. P. Kumaran.
Some of his work include movies like Koodevide,[2] Vasthuhara,[3] Marana Simhasanam,[4] Ilayum Mullum[5] Aakasha Gopuram,[6] Nokkukuthi, Ore Thooval Pakshikal, Mukhamukham,[7] Anantaram,[8] Marattam, Rugmini, Kathavasheshan,[9] Sufi Paranja Katha,[10] Nizhalkuthu,[11][12] Anandabhadram,[13] Sancharam[14] and Celluloid.
His recent non-Malayalam works include the Kokborok movie Yarwng[19][20] and the Franco-German documentary "The Mahouts of Kerala" by Andreas Voigt.
Velutha Rathrikal—the Irula language-Malayalam[22] movie directed by Razi Muhammed, Pathirakalam,[23] Amma—a documentary by veteran journalist Neelan[24]— are some of his recent works.
