Vanessa Ruth Waldref (born 1980)[1] is an American lawyer who has served as the United States attorney for the Eastern District of Washington since October 2021.

She served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Washington from 2013 to 2020.

She has most recently served as a trial attorney in the United States Department of Justice Environment and Natural Resources Division.

[5] Waldref was nominated to serve as United States attorney for the Eastern District of Washington on July 26, 2021.

[7] On September 30, 2021, her nomination was confirmed in the United States Senate by voice vote.
