Vashkivtsi

Vashkivtsi (Ukrainian: Вашківці, IPA: [ˈwɑʃkiu̯tsʲi] ⓘ; Romanian: Vășcăuți; German: Waschkautz; Yiddish: וואַסקעוויץ, romanized: Vashkovitz; Russian: Вашковцы, romanized: Vaškovcy) is a city in Vyzhnytsia Raion of Chernivtsi Oblast (province) of Ukraine.

It is located in the historical region of Bukovina.

The first written mention of Vashkivtsi dates back to the 15th century, in the 1430s.
