Vasily Dimitriev

After graduating from Churachik secondary school, he entered the history and philology department of the Chuvash State Pedagogical Institute.

[1] Participant of the Great Patriotic War: From 1942 - cadet of the artillery school, junior lieutenant, lieutenant-commander of a platoon in fighter-anti-tank brigades on the 2nd Ukrainian, 1st Baltic, 3rd Belorussian fronts.

In 1955, he completed postgraduate studies at the Department of History of the USSR during the feudal period at Lomonosov Moscow State University.

He introduced many historical sources into scientific circulation, published works on such Chuvash figures as Nikita Bichurin, Spiridon Mikhailov, Nikolai Nikolsky.
