Verdi Township, Lincoln County, Minnesota

The township is named both for the Italian operatic composer Giuseppe Verdi and the green fields surrounding the town.

[1] According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 38.6 square miles (99.9 km2), all land.

The community of Verdi is located in the southern part of the township.

17.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 5.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

About 12.1% of families and 14.6% of the population were below the poverty line, including 22.0% of those under the age of eighteen and 23.5% of those 65 or over.
