Verin Sznek

Verin Sznek (Armenian: Վերին Սզնեք) or Yukhary Yemishjan (Azerbaijani: Yuxarı Yemişcan) is a village in the Khojaly District of Azerbaijan, in the region of Nagorno-Karabakh.

Historical heritage sites in and around the village include a cemetery from between the 16th and 19th centuries, the 18th/19th-century church of Surb Astvatsatsin (Armenian: Սուրբ Աստվածածին, lit.

As of 2015, the village has a municipal building, a house of culture, a medical centre, and a secondary school that is shared with the neighboring village of Nerkin Sznek.
