Victor Kahn

Victor Kahn (Russian: Виктор Кан; 1889[1] in Moscow – 6 October 1971 in Nice) was a Russian–French chess master.

He was born in Moscow but left Russia in 1912 eventually ending up in France going via Sweden, Denmark and Germany.

In 1925, he tied for 5-7th in Paris City Championship (Abraham Baratz and Vitaly Halberstadt won), took 4th in Scarborough (Max Romih won), tied for 1st-2nd with Bertrand in Paris.

In 1935 he lost a match against Spanish player Ramon Rey Ardid (+0 –2 =4) in Zaragoza, he tied for 1st-2nd with George Koltanowski in Mollet.

He represented Russia in 1st unofficial Chess Olympiad at Paris 1924, and played for France four times.
