Victoria Aveyard (born July 27, 1990) is an American writer of young adult and fantasy fiction and screenplays.

Red Queen was published in 2015 and was met with positive reviews, including praise for its storyline and diversity within the characters and plot twists.
Originally, Red Queen was planned to be a film franchise with Universal Pictures and Elizabeth Banks directing.
