Vierendrra Lalit

Vierendrra Lalit (born in village Dhimahi, Bulendshehr, U.P, on 16 March 1969) is an Indian-born cinematographer and film director.

His grandfather, Sohan Pal Singh, was a farmer, social activist, and freedom fighter, who actively participated in the Quit India Movement in 1942 and was arrested several times.

He was a professor in Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

After receiving his diploma in photography, Lalit went to Mumbai and joined cinematographer Kabir Lal as an apprentice.

Lalit also assisted cinematographer Johny Lal in the movie Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai.
