Vincenzo Cerami

Vincenzo Cerami (2 November 1940 – 17 July 2013)[1] was an Italian screenwriter, novelist and poet.

In 1996, he was a member of the jury at the 46th Berlin International Film Festival.

The book was immediately successful, and adapted for film in 1977 by Mario Monicelli.

[2] In 1999, he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for the film Life Is Beautiful.
