Violet Olney

Violet Rose Olney (later Parish; 22 May 1911 – 3 January 1999)[1] was an English athlete who competed at the 1936 Summer Olympics.

Olney finished second behind Eileen Hiscock in the 200 metres event at the 1933 WAAA Championships.

[4][5] After finishing third behind Barbara Burke in the 200 metres event at the 1936 WAAA Championships,[6][7] Olney competed for Great Britain at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, where she won the silver medal in the women's 4 x 100 metres with her teammates Eileen Hiscock, Audrey Brown and Barbara Burke.
