Virginia Berridge, FRHistS, HonFRCP, FAcSS (born 1946) is a British academic historian and public health expert.
[1][2] Berridge has a first degree and a PhD in history, both from the University of London, and is a Professor of History and Director of the Centre for History in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
[3][4] She worked in the Addiction Research Unit of the Institute of Psychiatry from 1974 to 1979 and at the Economic and Social Research Council from 1986–1987.
