[2] The group toured between Boston and Virginia heavily in the late 1990s, supporting The Colors of the Sound and its 2000 follow-up, Townburg; the band's tour van logged more than 100,000 miles by May 2001.

[3] This album marked their transition from a band that primarily played in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States to a nationwide touring act.

[4] The group's next full-length, OK to Go, was released in 2004 and was produced by Matt Wallace.

In February 2007, VACO announced the departure of another founding member, John Patrick.
