Vivian Wineman

Vivian Wineman (born 14 February 1950)[1] was president of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, the representative body of the Jewish community in Britain, from 2009 to 2015.

On 7 November 2013, he was elected chairman of the Council of the European Jewish Congress, the representative body of European Jewry, and in March 2013 he was elected vice-president of the World Jewish Congress.

Vivian Wineman is currently the trustee of the following registered charities in the United Kingdom: Wineman Charitable Trust,[5] The Rofeh Trust,[6] The Council of Christians and Jews,[7] The Institute for Polish-Jewish Studies,[8] Wikimedia UK,[9] and The Next Century Foundation.
