Vladimir Komarov (speed skater)

He competed at the 1972 Winter Olympics in the 500 m and finished in 14th place.

[1] After retiring from competitions he graduated from an institute of physical education in Moscow Oblast (1979) and worked as a speed skating coach.

He was the president of the Russian Speed Skating Federation and a member of the national Olympic committee.

[2] He married Natalya Petrusyova, a Soviet Olympic speed skater.
