Vladimir Tolmachyov (politician)

Vladimir Nikolayevich Tolmachev (Russian: Влади́мир Никола́евич Толмачёв; October 19, 1887 – September 20, 1937) was a Soviet politician and statesman.

In 1906, he was arrested for revolutionary activities, and sentenced to 5 years under police supervision in the Yarensky district of the Vologda province.

In June 1918 he participated in the sinking of the ships of the Black Sea Fleet that refused to surrender to the Germans under the terms of the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk.

Tried by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR on September 20, 1937, Tolmachev sentenced to death, and executed on the same day.

[3] By the decision of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR of August 23, 1962, he was posthumously rehabilitated and reinstated in the party.
