Vorwärts (Cernăuți)

Vorwärts ('Forward') was a German-language socialist daily newspaper published from Czernowitz/Cernăuți, Bukovina (in Austria-Hungary, later in Romania; present-day Chernivtsi, Ukraine).

[4] Volkspresse was an organ of the Social Democratic Workers Party of Austria and the trade union movement.

[4] Publishers of the newspaper included Jakob Pistiner, Rudolf Gaidosch and Johann Dumpert.

[4] The newspaper carried the by-line 'Organ of the International Social Democratic Provincial Organization of Bukovina'.

[9] Vorwärts focused largely on international issues, leaving little space for local German concerns.
