The Blue Crystal Broadcasting Corporation, owned by William Earman, received a construction permit on January 27, 1964,[3] to build a new daytime-only radio station on 1510 kHz in Cocoa.
The station signed on July 11, with the transmitter mounted in the water in the Indian River at the Island Point Marina, and studios on Forrest Avenue.
