The station is owned by Saga Communications (which operates it as part of its Monadnock Broadcasting Group) and licensed to Saga Communications of New England, LLC.

It airs a hot adult contemporary music format.

The station has been assigned the WKNE call sign by the Federal Communications Commission since January 21, 2003.

Saga moved the translators into Keene proper and repurposed them to relay the HD2 and HD3 streams of WKNE within the city.
