Ward No. 115, Kolkata Municipal Corporation

The establishment and evolution of Kolkata Municipal Corporation followed a long process starting from around the middle of the 19th century.

The adjacent municipalities of Cossipore, Chitpore, Manicktola and Garden Reach, as well as the New Dock Extension area, were amalgamated with Kolkata.

115 is bordered on the north by Tolly’s Nullah (Adi Ganga); on the east by Keorapukur Khal; on the south by Sodepur 2nd Lane and Banamali Banerjee Lane; and on the west by Motilal Gupta Road and Mahatma Gandhi Road.

115, Kolkata Municipal Corporation, had a total population of 31,919, of which 16,001 (50%) were males and 15,918 (50%) were females.
