Wardell Pomeroy

Wardell Baxter Pomeroy (December 6, 1913 – September 6, 2001) was an American sexologist.

Pomeroy was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the son of Percy W. and Mary A.

He went into the private practice of sex therapy in New York City in 1963 and wrote books about adolescent sexuality for popular consumption.

In 1978 he was on the board of advisors for Rupert Raj's Foundation for The Advancement of Canadian Transsexuals (F.A.C.T.

)[3] Pomeroy retired due to declining health in 1983 and died in Bloomington, Indiana of Lewy body dementia.
