Watrous is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Mora County, New Mexico, United States.

It was named after merchant and landowner Samuel Watrous, who moved to New Mexico from Vermont in 1835.

The Sapello River, a tributary of the Mora, flows through the west side of town.
