Welling is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Cherokee County, Oklahoma, United States.

Welling is located in eastern Cherokee County approximately four miles southeast of Tahlequah.

The racial makeup of the CDP was 53.36% White, 38.57% Native American, 0.15% Asian, and 7.92% from two or more races.

21.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
