Wenslingen is a municipality in the district of Sissach in the canton of Basel-Country in Switzerland.
Wenslingen has an area, as of 2009[update], of 5.91 square kilometers (2.28 sq mi).
Of the rest of the land, 0.39 km2 (0.15 sq mi) or 6.6% is settled (buildings or roads), 0.01 km2 (2.5 acres) or 0.2% is either rivers or lakes.
[3] The blazon of the municipal coat of arms is Per pale, Or, a Pine tree Vert issuant from a Base Sable, and Gules, a head of wheat Or.
[7] Most of the population (as of 2000[update]) speaks German (643 or 98.2%), with French being second most common (3 or 0.5%) and Serbo-Croatian being third (2 or 0.3%).
[8] As of 2008[update], the gender distribution of the population was 50.9% male and 49.1% female.

[13] In the 2007 federal election the most popular party was the SVP which received 45.34% of the vote.
In the federal election, a total of 308 votes were cast, and the voter turnout was 58.8%.
[7] There were 351 residents of the municipality who were employed in some capacity, of which females made up 39.3% of the workforce.
In the tertiary sector; 5 or 9.3% were in wholesale or retail sales or the repair of motor vehicles, 4 or 7.4% were in the movement and storage of goods, 1 or 1.9% were in a hotel or restaurant, 4 or 7.4% were technical professionals or scientists, 12 or 22.2% were in education and 19 or 35.2% were in health care.
[7] From the 2000 census[update], 70 or 10.7% were Roman Catholic, while 468 or 71.5% belonged to the Swiss Reformed Church.
