He is the member-elect for the 53rd district of the Texas House of Representatives.

Wes reported to Air Force Basic Training on November 13th, 2001.

While serving in the United States Air Force, he worked on the Peacekeeper and Minuteman 3 Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles and also as a Military Training Leader.
