West Australian Institute of Architects

The West Australian Institute of Architects (WAIA) was a professional society for architects in Western Australia.

The Institute of West Australian Architects (WAIA) was founded in May 1896, with George Temple-Poole as inaugural president.

[1][2][3] Edwin Summerhayes was a founding member.

[4] In March 1943, the WAIA merged with the Australian Institute of Architects, becoming the WA Chapter of the RAIA.
