It is just north of Interstate 94 and touches the west bank of the St. Croix River.
Interstate 94 runs along the far south side of the township, just to the north of its border with Afton.
7.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 1.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
West Lakeland Township is governed by a board composed of three members elected to staggered three-year terms.
Members include Dave Schultz, chairman; John Buelow and Phil Moosbrugger, supervisors.
