The population was last recorded separately from Smithfield in 2000, when 59 people resided in the CDP.

U.S. Route 70 Business passes through the neighborhood, leading southeast to the center of Smithfield and northwest 11 miles (18 km) to Clayton.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP had an area of 0.5 square miles (1.3 km2), all land.

The racial makeup of the CDP was 42.37% White, 42.37% African American, 15.25% from other races.

19.0% of all households were made up of individuals, and 9.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
