The main facade is relatively plain in decoration, with a pair of entry doors framed by sidelights and unmoulded casings.
The doorways lead into separate small vestibules, which provide entry to the main chamber.
The building has never been wired for electricity, and is heated by a wood stove with a winding funnel pipe leading to the chimney.
It was built by Stephen Allard, a local builder who is credited with a number of surviving buildings in the community.
The congregation peaked in size around the time of the American Civil War, and declined thereafter.
