Whitman is an unincorporated community in Washington County, Texas, United States.
From 1885 until the post office's closure in 1907, Mrs. Kate Ewing served as postmistress.
Whitman had a thriving business sector and processing industries by 1883, which were based on the local cotton output.
[2] Whitman is located on Farm to Market Road 1155 near Jackson Creek and Farm to Market Road 2193, 14 mi (23 km) northeast of Brenham in eastern Washington County.
