Wilfred John Hickinbottom FRIC (1896–1979) was an English chemist.
[2] Hickinbottom was a reader at Queen Mary University of London (at the time named Queen Mary College) between 1947–1960 and then professor from 1960 to 1963.
[2] He married the professional pianist Greta Parkinson in 1953.

[citation needed] He left a bequest to the Royal Society of Chemistry to fund the Hickinbottom Award.
