Willard Ames De Pree

Willard Ames De Pree (November 1, 1928 – July 2, 2018)[1] was an American career diplomat who served as the United States Ambassador to Bangladesh and Mozambique.

[2] De Pree was born on November 1, 1928, in Zeeland, Michigan, United States.

From 1964 to 1968 he served as the Political Officer in the United States Embassy in Accra, Ghana.

[3][5] De Pree worked as the deputy coordinator from 1971 to 1972 at the senior seminar of the State Department.

[3] On July 2, 1987, he was appointed the United States Ambassador to Bangladesh by President Ronald Reagan.
