William A. Massey (mathematician)

William Alfred Massey is an American mathematician and operations researcher, the Edwin S. Wilsey Professor of Operations Research and Financial Engineering at Princeton University.

[2] Massey obtained his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 1981, with a thesis on queueing theory supervised by Joseph Keller.

[3] His first research publication was developed during a summer program at Bell Laboratories while he was a graduate student and was published in 1978.

After earning his doctorate, he became a permanent staff member at Bell Labs.

[2] He was elected to the 2006 class of Fellows of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences.
