William C. Hayward

William C. Hayward (November 22, 1847 – September 16, 1917) was an American politician, newspaper editor, and businessman.

[1] Eventually, he settled in Garner, Hancock County, Iowa in 1873.

He owned the Hancock Signal newspaper and was postmaster for Garner, Iowa.

From 1898 to 1907, Hayward served in the Iowa State Senate and was a Republican.

Hayward died from a stroke at his home in Davenport, Iowa.
