William Christopher Miller

William Christopher Miller FRSE (19 May 1898 – 17 December 1976) was a 20th century British veterinary surgeon and author.

Miller was born in the British Central Africa Protectorate in 1898 and was educated at the Royal Grammar School in Colchester in England.

[1] In 1935 he was offered a chair as Professor of Animal Husbandry at the Royal Veterinary College in London.

[1] Professor Miller also became the Director of Equine Research at the Animal Health Trust in Newmarket, England.

When I was a child, we visited several times and I remember that he had a large herd of Shetland ponies out in the field behind the house.
