William Duke (mathematician)

William Drexel Duke (born 1958) is an American mathematician specializing in number theory.

Duke studied at the University of New Mexico and then at New York University (Courant Institute), from which he received his Ph.D. in 1986 under the direction of Peter Sarnak.

[1] Duke gave an Invited Address at the 1998 International Congress of Mathematicians in Berlin.

[2][3][4] Duke gave an AMS Invited Address at a 2001 Fall sectional meeting of the American Mathematical Society in Irvine, California.

[6] Duke is an Editorial Board Member for the book series "Monographs in Number Theory" published by World Scientific.
