William Egbert Wheeler (November 21, 1843 – April 28, 1911) was an American businessman and politician from New York.
[1] Wheeler was elected town supervisor for six terms, and was a member of the school board.
In 1891, he was elected to the New York State Assembly as a Republican, representing the Cattaraugus County 1st District.
Their children were William M., John Egbert, Eleanor Knox, and Laurence Raymond.
He was an elder of the Portville Presbyterian church, and served as trustee and president of the Western New York Society for the Protection of Homeless and Dependent Children.
