William Henry Babcock (1849–1922) was an American author and poet.
In 1874 he married Ann Johns Earle, having at least 5 sons and 6 daughters.
[1] Babcock graduated from the Columbian University Law School, worked as a journalist, and practiced law in Washington D.C., specializing in patent law after having spent a year in the United States Patent Office as a patent examiner.
[2] Aside from several collections of poetry, he wrote historical novels and works.
